MEMBERSPRESIDENT Dr. Kunsang Dolma Sherpa Originally from Solukhumbu district of Nepal, she has witnessed and internalized the education and health care needs of the under privileged and marginalized people from the remote areas of Nepal especially the needs of nuns and monks. Being inspired to serve these needy people, she chose her career in the field of medical professionalism so that she could take care of health care needs of these people. While working as a medical officer in charitable organizations and hospitals, she realized the pressing health care need of women and simultaneous deficiency of the respective skill, so she decided to pursue her career in field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Mingyur Paldron Majored in Public health and management. Presently working in VajraVarahi Health Care as its clinical director. Has always been interested in working for women and children. Being in Nepal has allowed many ways to help and make a difference. Lotus Heart, comprising of female founders, working together devoting their time and energy for a huge cause as women and children, I joined this organization as we are dedicated and are here to make a difference in others lives. Lobsang Dolma Dhakhwa Being involved in social service since 1996, she supports numerous charitable endeavours with her friends and her compassionate energy. She has been working a volunteer in Khagenda New Life Education Secondary School (Disabled home). She was awarded as Unsung Heroes of Compassion 2001 from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Lotus Heart organization has clear vision to help the underprivileged and destitute people mainly for women health and empowerment which I have been doing since long time, this organization give me more foundation to work for the needy people, to bring smile on their face. INTERNATIONAL ADVISERS Sónia Gomes Marketing and Communication graduated, is also the founder, CEO & Owner of Spaso Zen Wellness Centers in Portugal. Her interest lies in female empowerment, health and education, gender discrimination and the role of female in Buddhism. Invited to participate and present Academic papers as speaker in Nalanda Internacional Conference "Buddhism for the 21st Century" held in India in March 2017, and in Second Vajrayāna Conference, organized by Central Monastic Body and the Centre for Bhutan Studies , held in Thimphu - Bhutan , in March 2018. Ani Dominique Tenzin Yidjuk (Dominique G. Marchal) After Greco-Latin Humanities, she went into medical school but left after one year. She then started taking flying lessons and, step by step, became an airline pilot. She lived for 6 weeks at the advanced base camp at 5500 meters. Already a Buddhist at heart, she was deeply moved by the magnificent Himalayas. After the shining success of her friends Jean Troillet and Erhard Loretan, she remained one month in Kathmandu and fell completely in love with the city where she moved in 1995, She started Shechen Clinic that she ran till 2007. She was ordained as a Buddhist nun by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2008. |
